Quick reminder, Reader: you're on my list because you wanted to know how my new business ventures worked out.
I haven't been in touch for ages, I'm sorry.
At the end of 2025, I decided to stop everything I was doing in the make money online niche, and go all in with my passion of cooking gluten free.
Long story short: it didn't work out lol.
Short story long: it's not as simple as that...
I went all in with creating videos for my Easy And Gluten Free YouTube channel, and that worked well.
I loved doing this and the channel grew (it's still growing, in fact).
My clicks on Amazon links increased massively.
My email list grew.
Everything was great, right?
Except that it wasn't.
I don't want to bore you with the details, but just so you know: I had a severe eating disorder as a teenager and young adult.
It was more than 30 years ago... and I thought it was truly a thing of the past...
But it seems it wasn't really.
Creating food content all the time turned out to be not so good for my mental health.
I began to spot some signs that the old symptoms were creeping back.
And I listened to the alarm bells.
And stopped before it was too late. There's just NO WAY in the world I'm putting myself at risk of having an eating disorder again.
Life's full of surprises, isn't it?
So what now?
Well, I gave myself a few months' break and only did my coaching work at Internet Profits.
And as that brain of mine rested, a plan began to form.
I reviewed everything I'd done over the past few years.
It's amazing what we see when we take a step back, you know.
Suddenly I saw it all, staring me right in the face: my best years were when I kept things very simple.
In fact, my most successful years were when my Dad was very ill... and I HAD NO CHOICE but to keep it super stupid simple!
Here's what I did back then:
- I had a $5 a day ad running for me, growing my list on autopilot
- I had an email sequence working for me, building trust and making me sales - also on autopilot
- and I published imperfect YouTube videos, that grew my audience and my list... on autopilot too!
I guess the keyword here is AUTOPILOT.
It was so simple... and it worked beautifully.
Why I stopped doing that is a mystery to me - and the topic for another email, I'm sure - but anyway.
When I saw this, I couldn't unsee it.
This is it.
I teach affiliates how to grow a list that pays them, on autopilot.
And it's not only what I teach, it's what I do myself too.
Once the decision was made, things moved fast.
I have a new ad running, growing my list for five bucks a day.
I'm making simple YouTube videos again.
And I have a community where I help affiliates do the same.
The ad started running on Wednesday... I have 12 new people on my list and one sale already.
Amazing what happens when you keep it simple, right?
So... that's my news.
My question to you now is: do you want to stay on my list or not?
I'll be emailing regularly again.
If you don't want to hear from me anymore, no worries at all, please just hit the unsubscribe button.
But if you want to stay, then please do! I appreciate you - and your patience with me - more than you'll ever know!
Here's to your success on this journey, Reader.
Have a wonderful end of the week,
Sophie
