Now let's do some fun math:

There are 8 million people where I live in Switzerland.

Let's say just 5% have a Netflix subscription - that's 400'000 households paying $274.80 a year... which totals a whooping one hundred nine million nine hundred twenty thousand for Netflix...

My dyscalculic brain can't even begin to go down the road of figuring out how much that amounts to for worldwide subscriptions...

So I Googled it and Netflix's revenue from subscriptions worldwide is over 3 billion per MONTH.

(That's the moment where I pause and think "sh*t! Why didn't I come up with this bright idea of sharing films online?!" - but I digress lol!)

To say Netflix is onto a winner is an understatement...

And they're not the only ones.

Any service that has a subscription model is sitting on a goldmine.

Because they only have to make a sale once... and as long as they offer a valuable product, their customers will stay for the long term.

Which means the company can focus on developing its product and keeping it high quality, whilst making money almost effortlessly every month from existing, happy customers.
